The Telltale has been in production since 1980 back when it was simply called “Newsletter”. In 1982 the publication was renamed to “Tell-Tale” before being simplified to “Telltale” as we know it today.
Over the years the Telltale has taken a few different shapes and forms. From what started off as fairly simple coloured pieces of paper being stapled together and passed around, has moved to more and more complicated and intricate pieces of work. The Telltale has been home made and stapled, professionally printed and mailed out, created in house at NSC with our printing facilities, sent digitally as a .PDF, and now it is sent in rich email format.
In 1989, we get a little peak into the details of it’s creation (image below). Today the Telltale is created by NSC volunteers and staff in a mailing distribution program called MailChimp.

No matter the form the Telltale took, it has always been created or contributed to by a team of dedicated members. The Telltale has always been an integral method of communication here at NSC, and it is here to stay.
